Remote participation lets a producer or director join a Johannesburg voice recording session from elsewhere. The appropriate connection method depends on your production and audio-quality requirements. We can also record voice artists remotely.
Share the session date, participants, locations and required recording quality. We'll confirm the connection method and technical check arrangements before anyone joins the session.

Which Remote Tools Do You Support?
We have Source-Connect, Source Nexus, SessionPlug, GoogleMeet, Riverside,FM, Zoom, and MS Teams conferencing options. We can also connect via Cleanfeed, SessionLinkPro, and even Discord. Confirm current platform compatibility and any additional fees before booking.
Is A Video Meeting Equivalent To A Broadcast-Quality Link?
Not necessarily. We'll agree on the monitoring and recording approach based on the production requirements.
Can you record a voice artist who isn't physically at Bigmouth Studios?
Yes. Remote voice recording can be arranged, depending on the artist's available equipment, location and connection options. We'll discuss the technical requirements and recording approach before confirming the session.
How should we prepare for a remotely directed recording session?
Confirm who'll be attending, their locations and time zones, the preferred connection method and any technical requirements. It's also helpful to distribute the final script and arrange a connection test where necessary.
What happens if the internet connection isn't good enough for the session?
We'll assess the connection and discuss alternatives, which may include a different remote platform or a locally recorded workflow. The available options depend on the participants' equipment and the production requirements.
